Shoal Creek Preserve
Shoal Creek Preserve (dedicated by Forever Wild resolution as the Billingsley-McClure Shoal Creek Preserve) allows visitors to explore 298 acres of fallow fields, mature upland hardwood stands and scenic creek bottoms in Lauderdale County. Waterways on the tract include Indian Camp Creek, Lawson Creek, Jones Branch and Shoal Creek.
Killen Time Adventure Park
“Located across from Brooks High School in Killen, Alabama. Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail
The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at The Shoals is home to two 18-hole championship courses and sits high above Wilson Lake on the Tennessee River.
The Fighting Joe course at The Shoals was the first Trail course to break 8,000 yards, measuring some 8,092 yards from the black tees. Travel + Leisure Golf named Fighting Joe one of the top new courses in 2004 for good reason. Long-hitters here will experience a test of champions, but from the correct tee box, all players will enjoy world-class golf.
Helen Keller Birthplace Tour
Ivy Green is a historic house museum at 300 West North Commons in Tuscumbia, Alabama, United States. Built in 1820, it was the birthplace and childhood home of Helen Keller, who became well known after overcoming deaf-blind conditions to communicate; she became an author and public speaker.
Muscle Shoals Sound Studios
Muscle Shoals Sound Studio is an American recording studio in Sheffield, Alabama, formed in 1969 by four session musicians known as The Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. They had left nearby FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals to create their own recording facility
Fame Recording Studios
FAME Music was established in 1959 and is known as the Home of the Muscle Shoals Sound. FAME moved to Muscle Shoals in 1961. FAME has worked in the studio with some of the Greatest artists in music history. Artists such as Aretha Franklin, Little Richard, Wilson Pickett, Etta James, Lou Rawls, Otis Redding, Candi Staton, Clarence Carter, the Osmonds, Jerry Reed, Alabama, Mac Davis, Shenandoah, Bobbie Gentry and many others.
